Our skilled and experienced team seeks a Senior Java Developer to help meet critical business needs for Financial Research and Engineering departments, as well as various Trade Desks in the Investments and Capital Markets business division. You will communicate with various audiences, including business analysts, test-team, technology services partners, business areas and management, while providing full life cycle support to new processes and systems and mentoring junior developers and consultants.

 

Our ideal candidate...

... brings excellent oral and written communication skills in addition to the following qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline (equivalent combination of education and experience considered)

-Proven experience in hands-on application development, including a strong knowledge of J2SE, J2EE, Unix Shell Scripting and SQL

-Experience using JDBC and relational databases such as DB2 and Sybase

-Proficiency in object-oriented application design and integration patterns

-Experience in Full Software Development Life Cycle methodologies and best practices

- 5+ years of application development experience in the above-mentioned technologies

-7 years of overall IT experience preferred

-Working knowledge of Perl, Autosys, C/C++ and SAS preferred

-Knowledge of fixed income securities and model analytics preferred

-Experience working with fixed income trading desks and traders preferred

-Knowledge of primary and secondary mortgage markets needed
