ATSC is looking for a top Oracle DBA/Architect with strong data modeling skills. Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder and have at least 10 years of Oracle DBA experience. This is with our direct client in Herndon and is an immediate need.
About the Position:
The Senior Oracle Database Administrator/Architect will provide all data management functions and participate in the design and implementation of high performance and high reliability databases. The candidate will be engaged in the database architecture decisions. The candidate will also be in rotation with other team members to provide 24 X 7 support. In addition, strong data modeling and Unix/database scripting skills are highly desirable for this position.

Qualifications:
Must-Have Skills:
10+ years of Oracle DBA experience including building objects and maintaining production environments
10+ years of experience in Relational database concepts, relational logical modeling, best practices, and physical design
10+ years of experience in the IT industry, including full life cycle methodology, standard office products such as Word and Excel, and some application development
5+ years of experience in the database architecture, design and implementation of high performance and high reliability databases
5+ years of Unix operating system experience including shell scripting and file management.
5+ years of using modeling tool, preferable ER/Studio
Expertise in working with High volume, and High Transaction databases
Expertise in fine tuning databases for optimal performance
Expertise in requirements gathering and Database Modeling using the various tools
Expertise of Autosys and its scripting to automate and schedule the various routine maintenance tasks
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of S-OX procedures and implementations to comply with the regulations
Ability to adapt to changing environment and requirements and manage multiple tasks
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field
Nice to Have Skills:
Knowledge of Mortgage Industry and its practices
Knowledge of the underwriting and workflows thereof
Knowledge of Perl scripting
Knowledge of the web architecture and application technologies
Excellent project management, negotiation, presentation and influencing skills
