Responsibilities
Provide scheduling operations and maintenance support for automated client server tool. Resolve or assist in resolving mainframe and UNIX application failures and Sybase errors. Make scheduling changes and research/troubleshoots. Job requires a Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills may be acquired; and three years work experience in the data processing field involving work on multiple systems platforms.
Additional Specifications
Monitoring: The Job duties include 24/7 support of JobTrac & AutoSys Monitoring (automated job scheduling tools JobTrac for the mainframe and AutoSys for the distributed platforms they set up jobs to run automatically) for any failed jobs, Mainframe monitoring, Ad-hoc approvers list referencing for Ad-hoc request, providing support for production incidents and following process and procedures to resolve incidents, Application monitoring, Network & infrastructure monitoring, some SME support around production monitoring. This is level one technical support they go through a documented process to review the incident to attempt to resolve it if they cant resolve the incident it goes to level two. (These functions comprise 4 workstations and they are solely responsible for the work in that station they rotate over time.)

Execution: The Job duties include 24/7 supports of JobTrac and AutoSys execution, DCU (data correction) execution, Ad-hoc request executions (one time, could be production related), special requests (execute commands on a server to execute a specific process i.e. move files, copy files, etc.), and Mainframe tape functions and issue handling. There is a detailed combination of process and guidelines for them to follow, escalating as necessary per the run book.

Application: The Job duties include 24/7 support of Start/Stop production applications through AutoSys (for ad hoc requests if this doesnt happen automatically they will intervene), terminating hung production process; command line start/stop, log files cleaning, any special command line requests including file changes, file copy, file moving, and smoke test of production applications. Escalation to level two as needed.

Reporting: The Job duties include 24/7 support of Incident Management reporting, daily activities reporting which include managing and sending out reports, DCU turnover reporting for all executed and pending DCUs, Mainframe tape management reporting, and QA/QC reporting. They create some reports on incident failures and scheduled activities, analyze the events and document the events during the shift this could be informational and actionable. The regular reports are passed along without analysis.

Lead Role: The Job duties include coordinating and managing shift work schedule, provide subject matter expertise to the lower level staff due to technical expertise, mentor and train senior and junior level staff, point of contact during weekend activities (fill in for managers), and facilitate monthly mortgage close process (coordinate meetings for critical company process and reporting). Process includes gathering related data and changes facilitating pre and post close meetings, tracking close related execution process. They provide input for performance evaluations on the floor level activities that they manage.
Conditions of Employment
