General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Cyber Infrastructure Analyst for an opening in Northern Virginia in support of a U.S. Government customer Responsible for development and documentation of new tools and techniques for mining large historical data sets, including netflow information. The team has a goal of cataloging and enhancing existing analytical tools as well as guiding the transition of prototypes into a "production ready" state. Candidate will interface extensively with a Requirements team, and thus must be able to clearly articulate as well as understand analytical needs. All candidates shall possess a Top Secret / Secure Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance and maintain that level of access. Clearances shall be verifiable through GDIT Security. All applicants must meet and maintain customer suitability requirements. Bachelors degree in related discipline. Equivalent years of directly related experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements. Requires a minimum of 3 years directly related experience. Demonstrated technical proficiency in various information technology disciplines to include but not limited to programming and system administration. Ability to gather requirements and write technical. Willingness to present findings and conduct mini training sessions for analysts regarding new tools created. Experience with scripting languages is a high priority. SQL or other database experience will be useful. Key Skills: Information Technology proficiency, System Administration, Network Administration, Network Security, Programming Experience: strong emphasis on scripting (perl, python, bash), SQL, compiled languages (C/C++, java) Preferred Skills: Rapid prototyping development style Network Analysis (PCAP, Silk) Familiarity with configuration management principles Familiarity with revision control programs (subversion, CVS, RCS) Preferred Certifications: GIAC "Security Admin" track: GISF, GSSP-*, GCUX. In addition to technical background and knowledge; strong verbal and written communication skills are required. |
