Responsibilities
Manage the NPL review process and staff, which supports five regional offices. Manage the review of defaulted and non-performing loans. Utilize a multiple-stage review involving investigative work to determine if loans met the terms of the purchase documents in effect at the time of loan sale to Freddie Mac. Provide subject matters expertise on topics of loan quality and investigative techniques to internal customers. Provide input into the strategy, planning and forecasting for the group's future activities. Oversee special projects and implement test pilots for sampling strategies aimed at identifying the risk test loans for review and reporting. Job requires a Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Finance or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills may be acquired; ten years of experience in the residential mortgage industry involving experience in progressively higher levels of responsibility for underwriting, management, marketing or sales.
Additional Specifications
Manage the quality assurance function for the Making Home Affordable Compliance Division. Perform quality assurance reviews and audits related to compliance examinations, loan file reviews, operational and technology support functions and ongoing departmental initiatives. Provide recommendations to ensure continuous process improvement and operational efficiencies, as well as opportunities to enhance the Making Home Affordable Compliance Program. Provide input into the strategy, planning and forecasting for the group's future activities. Oversee special projects and strategies aimed at identifying the risk mitigation opportunities within the Division. Interface with internal and external auditors and regulators. Job requires a Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Finance or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills may be acquired; minimum of five years internal/external audit experience with a certification in an audit discipline (CPA, CIA, CFSA, CITP, CBA, CFE, CISA); prior financial audit experience in regulated industries; previous experience in the residential mortgage industry involving underwriting, management, regulatory compliance, marketing or sales; excellent project management, communication and interpersonal skills; able to travel up to 20%.
