Description: | SENTEL offers a relaxed small company feel with diverse work assignments and some travel. Provides process management, administrative and general program support on a systems analysis task to the Comparative Testing Office (CTO). This task provides systems analysis, acquisition, test and program management support of high-end information, weapons, and support systems for the Director, CTO Rapid Fielding Directorate, Directorate Defense Research and Engineering. The CTO oversees both the DoD's Foreign Comparative Testing (FCT) and Defense Acquisition Challenge (DAC) Programs. FCT and DAC projects provide rapid fielding of equipment and materiel to the Army, Navy/USMC, Air Force and US Special Operations Command warfighters. Individual interfaces on a daily basis with DoD leadership in T&E, material acquisition, contract personnel and resource managers, as well as foreign and domestic vendors, foreign dignitaries and Congressional offices. Specific duties include assisting in project oversight activities, reviewing project documentation; preparing senior executive correspondence and periodic reports to Congress; monitoring FCT and DAC projects; foreign & domestic travel; representing OSD CTO at meetings as directed; providing general assistance to FCT and DAC Service/USSOCOM Project Managers, and acting as a focal point for OSD with regards to FCT and DAC programs. The job will require occasional overnight travel within and outside of the Continental United States. The individual will be required to possess a tourist Passport. |
Education: | BS+ |
Experience/Skills | Experience working government international acquisitions/programs required. Action Officer w/in the DC environment and/or military operational experience a definite plus. Solid understanding of US military force structure and operations. Ability to prepare military style reports and presentations. Ability to communicate concepts and ideas orally and in writing accurately and precisely. Familiarity with the DOD material acquisition process. Windows XP and MS Office proficient. Working knowledge of Department of Defense (DOD) organization. Candidate must possess an active US Secret security clearance or higher. |
