In India, a toned-down protest against sexual harassment
A “SlutWalk,” will take place in New Delhi on July 31 to protest a Canadian police officer who said women should “avoid dressing like sluts” to protect themselves against sexual harassment. Women across the globe have participated in these walks, dressing provocatively in protest of the officer’s remarks. In India, the event is being tweaked to adhere to the country’s conservative values.
