Italy’s tax evasion culture
Proposed laws to combat tax evasion could change how Italians buy and sell services. Tax fraud is estimated to equal more than 20 percent of Italy’s annual economic output. From more than 41 million tax returns filed in 2010, fewer than 1 percent of Italians reported income greater than $135,000. Read related article.
