Kittens in Afghanistan rescued by Marines

Three U.S. Marines stationed in Afghanistan rescued a group of kittens with the help of animal rescue group Nowzad Dogs. "You just find them all over the place," said Corp. Brian Chambers.

Kiki and fellow cat KeyKey sleeping on the base. "I found Keykey tangled up in c-wire one day in the beginning of the deployment, I took him in and fixed his wounds. He was also extremely malnourished so I constantly kept an eye on him and fed him until he got back to good health and he has been by my side ever since," LCpl. Chris Berry told Nowzad.

One of the cats sleeping on the base. "It gives you something to look forward to at the end of the day," Chambers told People Pets. "They keep you sane, I guess." His wife got him started on bringing the cat back to the U.S.
