Transtromer wins Nobel Prize in literature

Swedish poet Tomas Transtromer has won the 2011 Nobel Prize in literature. Peter Englund, permanent secretary of the Swedish Academy which awards the Nobel prizes, said "through condensed, translucent images, [Transtromer] gives us fresh access to reality." (Oct. 6)
