Slate Creates Political Ringtones

Feature Lets Users Download Candidates' Clips To Mobile Phones

WASHINGTON, May 8, 2008—Slate, the daily online magazine, today launches political ringtones for users to download to their mobile phone. Visit www.slate.com/ringtones to get audio from presidential candidates Hillary Clinton, John McCain and Barack Obama.

Download Clinton's laugh. (Or cackle, depending who you ask.) Or, hear her saying, "Shame on you, Barack Obama".

Get Obama saying "Yes We Can".

Download McCain calling a questioner a "little jerk", or get the John McCain "my friends" compilation.

To acquire a ringtone, users simply text message the designated order code to the number 98999. To hear all ringtones, and to get the order codes or to download them to your desktop, visit www.slate.com/ringtones.
