“PostGlobal” Brings Global Collaborative Journalism to washingtonpost.com
Arlington VA – June 15, 2006 — Washingtonpost.Newsweek Interactive today announced the launch of PostGlobal, a panel blog featuring some of the world’s most respected thinkers whose blog posts will focus on the impact of politics, economics, policy and culture on international relations.
The URL for PostGlobal is http://blog.washingtonpost.com/PostGlobal.
PostGlobal is an experiment in global journalism – an ongoing discussion of international issues among dozens of the world's best-known writers, commentators, and editors. It aims to create a truly global dialogue, drawing on independent voices in the countries where news is happening—from China to Iran, from South Africa to Saudi Arabia, from Mexico to India.
Twice a week, David Ignatius of The Washington Post and Fareed Zakaria of Newsweek will pose a question to PostGlobal's diverse network of experts in more than 30 countries. Their responses will reflect what the world thinks about important issues.
The discussion will not be limited to journalists. An expanded comments feature will offer readers an opportunity to join the discussion with the writers as well as other readers around the world.
