Steve Turner joined WPNI in 2007 as Vice President, Technology and Chief Technology Officer. He is an essential component in maintaining WPNI’s leading position in technological innovation.
Steve brings to WPNI more than 20 years of experience leading award-winning software development teams. Prior to joining WPNI, Steve was Executive VP of Technology at BrassRing, the recruitment and hiring solution in which The Washington Post Co. was a partial owner. In that role, Steve managed a 120 person team of software developers, quality engineers, program managers and product managers, as well as the 35 person team of helpdesk and implementation consultants. Brass Ring counted GE, American Express, Time Warner, Lockheed Martin and Target among its many clients. Steve held the CTO position at BrassRing for 4 years, until BrassRing was sold to Kenexa in November 2006.
Prior to BrassRing, Steve was the VP Engineering of Curl Corporation, the VP Engineering of Authoria, Inc., and the VP Technology of Reed Elsevier Technology Group. Preceding those positions, Steve spent 10 years with Lotus Corporation in England, Japan and Cambridge MA. His final position at Lotus was as VP Development for Lotus 1-2-3.
Steve holds a B.S. degree in Applied Chemistry from Nottingham, England, and a High Tech MBA from Northeastern University. He and his wife, BJ relocated to the Arlington area from North Andover MA.
