"Having studied at Cornell, Harvard, and MIT, I found the courses at the Institute to be as stimulating and challenging as any I have taken."

Steve Pieczenik, M.D. Cornell; Ph.D., MIT Former Deputy Assistant Secretary of State

The Institute of World Politics is a graduate school of statecraft and national security. Our mission is to educate leaders in the art and wisdom of conducting state affairs by offering a unique multi-disciplinary program.

Instruction in the study of international affairs and national security policy is given by some of the nation's most prominent scholar practitioners. Guest lecturers frequently visit our small seminar-style classes.

The Institute is conveniently located in the historic Marlatt Mansion, only eight blocks from the White House and within walking distance of the Dupont Circle Metro stop.

Our courses are held one evening a week to accommodate the schedules of working professionals committed to advancing their careers.

Course credit granted by Boston University.
