A $10 round-trip fare increase initiated by Continental was matched by other major legacy carriers last weekend; then they all got cold feet and by Tuesday canceled the hike, and by Wednesday changed their minds again and reinstituted the increase on most routes. Stay tuned. Meanwhile, responding to the same huge jet fuel price increases that inspired the on-and-off-and-on-again fare hikes, British Airways increased its fuel surcharge. On long-haul trips the increase is about $15 round trip . . . Get discounts when visiting Orlando by ordering free "Magicards" offered by the county visitors bureau.
