MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

HEATHER FIELD CT., 24000 block, 7 p.m. April 12 to 7 a.m. April 14. A trailer used to transport construction vehicles was stolen.

ASSAULTS

EDWARDS FERRY RD. NE, 900 block, 5:29 p.m. April 15. Police responded to an assault and shoplifting at a business.

EVANS RIDGE TERR. NE, 400 block, 4:05 p.m. April 14. An assault at a residence was reported.

FORT EVANS RD. NE, 200 block, 1:18 p.m. April 14. Police responded to an argument at a business.

FRANKLIN ST. SW, 1000 block, 10:14 p.m. April 16. Police responded to an assault at a residence.

WASHINGTON ST. NE, 100 block, 11:09 p.m. April 18. An assault at a residence was reported.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BRADFORD DR. SW, 1000 block, 2:42 p.m. April 18. A racing bike and a helmet were stolen from a residence.

CLUBHOUSE DR. SW, 1 to 100 block, 4:29 p.m. April 18. Cash, a credit card and a purse were stolen from a cart at a golf club.

DRY MILL RD. SW, 400 block, 2:15 p.m. April 14. Cash was stolen from a school.

EDWARDS FERRY RD. NE, 800 block, 5 p.m. April 17. Playground equipment was painted.

EDWARDS FERRY RD. NE, 1000 block, 8:06 p.m. April 15. Shoplifting at a business was reported.

LONGHOUSE PL., 18000 block, 4:22 a.m. April 15. A CD player was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

SPARKLEBERRY TERR. NE, 500 block, 7:41 p.m. April 15. An electronic medical instrument was stolen from a residence.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

GLEEDSVILLE RD., 20000 block, 4:30 p.m. April 16. A male stole an ATV from a residence. A neighbor saw the incident and followed the thief to an area of Clubhouse Drive where he lost control of the vehicle and fled on foot.

VANDALISM

BRIDGETTE PL. NE, 100 block, 4:28 p.m. April 17. Eggs were thrown at a residence.

EVERGREEN MILL RD. SE, 500 block, 12:15 p.m. April 14. A vehicle windshield was damaged. The vehicle was in a parking lot at a school.

HANCOCK PL. NE, 10100 block, 3:19 p.m. April 18. A front door at a residence was damaged.

PLAZA ST. NE, 1 to 100 block, 10:32 a.m. April 17. A front door at a residence was marred with paint.

SHANKS EVANS RD. NE, 700 block, 4:20 p.m. April 14. A vehicle window was shattered.

Potomac Falls Area

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

POTOMAC LANDING WAY, 20000 block, 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. April 14. Two sets of golf clubs were stolen from a garage at a residence.

SAULTY DR., 47000 block, 3:30 a.m. April 13. A weight bench was stolen from a homeowners association. There were no signs of forced entry.

Purcellville Area

VANDALISM

G ST. E., 500 block, April 14. A mailbox was damaged.

Sterling Area

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

ALGONKIAN PKWY., 46000 block, 11:37 p.m. April 16. A man broke into a pool building and stole cash. A 41-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested and charged with burglary and destruction of property.

DEBHILL TERR., 45000 block, 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 16. Checks, pens and other property were stolen from a residence. There were no signs of forced entry.
