T he White Stripes will release their as-yet-untitled new album June 14 on Third Man/V2. The set was recorded in the duo's home town, Detroit, and will be preceded by a handful of live dates, most in Mexico. The lone U.S. date posted thus far is June 10 at Atlanta's Music Midtown festival . . .

Tim McGraw, Big & Rich and Sara Evans have joined the list of performers for the 40th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, which will be broadcast May 17 live from Las Vegas on CBS . . .

Rapper Nelly postponed the remainder of his shows this week in the wake of his sister's death from leukemia March 24, but a spokesman for the rapper said he plans to resume his Sweat Suit tour Sunday in his home town, St. Louis. The tour is scheduled to stop at DAR Constitution Hall on April 18.
