19 -- "Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason" brings back Renee Zellweger in the title role of the hapless British singleton, who after four weeks dating the dishy Mark Darcy (Colin Firth) is beginning to feel a bit restless.

19 -- "National Treasure" stars Nicolas Cage as a treasure hunter who's on the verge of finding a Revolutionary War-era cache, but whose big score may be scuttled by the FBI. With Harvey Keitel.

19 -- "Ong-bak: The Thai Warrior" relates the story of Booting (kickboxing star Tony Jaa), who must use his expertise in the martial art of Muay Thai when a precious Buddha statue is stolen from his village.

19 -- "Sex Is Comedy," from French filmmaker Catherine Breillat ("Romance") stars Anne Parillaud as a director who becomes consumed with filming a sex scene between an actress and actor who can't stand each other.

19 -- "The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie" marks the long-awaited big- screen debut of the popular Nickelodeon character, who with his aquatic pals strikes out from his native Bikini Bottom to find adventure in the wider watery world beyond. Featuring the voices of Alec Baldwin, Scarlett Johansson and Jeffrey Tambor.

24 -- "Christmas With the Kranks" stars Tim Allen as a family man whose plan to skip Christmas is foiled when his daughter decides to come home and he must quickly assemble the perfect

holiday. With Jamie Lee Curtis as Mrs. Krank.

24 -- "The Flight of the Phoenix" is an action-adventure about a plane crash in the Sahara, and one passenger's scheme to build an airplane from the wreckage to save his fellow survivors.

DECEMBER

TBA -- "House of Flying Daggers" is Chinese director Zhang Yimou's romantic tale of action and adventure set in the late Tang Dynasty and stars Ziyi Zhang as a captivating dancer who's also a member of a revolutionary cell.

TBA -- "The Life Aquatic" features Bill Murray as a Jacques Cousteau-like oceanographer who travels the world with his motley and not always devoted crew. With Owen Wilson, Anjelica Huston and Cate Blanchett, from writer-director Wes Anderson.

TBA -- "The Woodsman" stars husband- wife team Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick in a drama about a pedophile who returns to his home town after 12 years in prison to start a new life. A first feature from writer-director Nicole Kassell.

3 -- "Closer," Mike Nichols's adaptation of the Patrick Marber play, stars Julia Roberts, Natalie Portman, Jude Law and Clive Owen in a romantic round-robin involving the friendship of two couples.

3 -- "I Am David" tells the story of a 12-year-old boy who escapes from a communist concentration camp into Denmark, carrying just a letter and a loaf of bread. Adapted from Anne Holm's novel "North to Freedom."

10 -- "Blade: Trinity" finds Wesley Snipes once again playing the legendary comic book hero, who now must save humanity after an apocalyptic event takes place that could put Earth into the hands of vampires.

10 -- "Ocean's Twelve" is Steven Soderbergh's follow-up to his remake of the 1960 caper comedy "Ocean's Eleven." George Clooney returns as Danny Ocean, who now wants to pull off three major heists in Europe, and must recruit a new member to do so.

17 -- "The Aviator," Martin Scorsese's biopic about financier Howard Hughes, stars Leonardo DiCaprio in the title role, with Cate Blanchett as Katharine Hepburn, Kate Beckinsale as Ava Gardner and pop singer Gwen Stefani as Jean Harlow.

17 -- "The Cinderella Man" stars Russell Crowe as the Depression-era boxer Jim Braddock, who became a living legend when he defeated heavyweight champion Max Baer in 1935. With Renee Zellweger.

17 -- "Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events" stars Jim Carrey as the evil Count Olaf, who tries to swindle the Baudelaire orphans out of their inheritance in this adaptation of the first three Snicket books. With Jude Law as the voice of Lemony.

17 -- "A Very Long Engagement," from "Amelie" director Jean-Pierre Jeunet, tells the story of five men who wound themselves rather than face the Battle of the Somme in World War I. Although they are sentenced to die, the girlfriend of one of the men (Audrey Tautou) begins to suspect that he might have gotten away.

17 -- "Beyond the Sea" stars Kevin Spacey, who also directs, in a biopic of the singer Bobby Darin. With Kate Bosworth ("Blue Crush") as Sandra Dee.
