An April 23 article on Vice President Cheney's statement that he would vote to break a tie to change Senate rules concerning filibusters of judicial nominees inaccurately stated it was the first time the White House has explicitly outlined the role it is willing to play. Cheney made similar comments in an interview published April 16 in the Baltimore Sun.
