. . . caught hot new acts before they make it big. Iota in Arlington is heralded as one of the top live music spots in the D.C. area. This club/cafe combo brings in emerging and lesser-known artists for an eclectic mix of music at a reasonable price -- tickets average about $15. Its open-mike nights on Wednesdays, always free, are a good way to catch some of the area's newest artists and old favorites.
