Skinn Lifts Patriots in 2 OTs

Tony Skinn had 23 points, nine of which came in two overtimes, to lead George Mason over William & Mary, 104-99, yesterday in Williamsburg.

John Vaughan had a career-high 21 points and Lamar Butler scored 20 for the Patriots (14-9, 9-5 Colonial Athletic Association), and Jai Lewis had 19 points and 11 rebounds.

Nathan Mann and Nick D'Antoni each scored 25 for William & Mary (5-18, 1-13). It was a career-high for Mann. Hawley Smith tied his career high of 11 rebounds, and Corey Cofield scored 19 for the Tribe.

William & Mary was ahead 41-33 at halftime, and led by as many as 12 in the second half until an 11-2 run capped by a three-pointer by Butler made it 74-71 with 2 minutes 51 seconds remaining. George Mason's Lewis scored five points in the last 2:23, and a Vaughn layup tied it at 78 with seven seconds left to send the game into overtime.

MORGANST. 81, HOWARD 66: In Baltimore, Aaron Andrews scored 19 points and grabbed 12 rebounds and Ronald Timus (Wilson High) added 17 points to lead the Bears (10-13, 7-5 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference). Will Gant scored 25 points on 10-for-15 shooting for the Bison (5-16, 2-10). Darek Mitchell added 11 points for Howard, which trailed 38-35 at halftime.
