Sayeed's family has a black-and-white television. The only furniture in the three rooms are old worn cabinets and beds made of wood. Some of the beds are outside so that people can sleep on them in the summer when it's hot. One room that is especially used for entertaining visitors has straw mats on the floor. Sayeed's father, Muhammed, sits in that room and drinks tea. There are lots of flies in the house.
