Spring cleaning can commence. The idea is to find a few inexpensive organizational saviors that quickly and stylishly help you clear the clutter from your life.
"Everything has to have a purpose and place to stay in your life," says Alison Lukes, of Alison Lukes et Cie, a closet consultation and design company.
Perforated waste bins, $28 each at Hold Everything, Chevy Chase Pavilion, 5335 Wisconsin Ave. NW or holdeverything.com.

Start simply -- a perforated waste bin for extra beauty supplies in the closet, a sleek heavy-gauge aluminum rack for your magazines, a folder for takeout menus.
There are even lines specifically aimed at SOHOers, or Small Office Home Office workers. The new office supply company M.O. offers more performance-based, classic products. Items such as expanding files are meant to close up tight for easy transporting.
"Being organized," says Lukes, "is not being retentive as much as being efficient."
