Outward Bound
• Check these sledding tips and go slip-sliding away at the area's recommended sledding spots.
• Ride to Metro-accessible movie theaters.
• Ignore the snow and hurry to a hot spot, a place where the thermometer's always set on "steam."
• Pick a table by the fireside.
• Leave the city and head to the hills where snow and skiing get serious.
• Take Metro to the National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden skating rink, or pick from more area rinks.
• Transport yourself to an island climate with a taste of the Caribbean.
• Don't go stir crazy. Work it out at a local gym.
