Wrestler Of the Year: MATT MYERS, MCDONOUGH, SR.

Completed 35-0 season -- and 130-11 career -- by becoming first wrestler from the Southern Maryland Athletic Conference to win the 130-pound 4A/3A title, his second state crown. Just the second wrestler in the conference's 34 years to win four SMAC titles. Also won the 4A/3A South Region for the fourth time. Committed to Clarion University in Pennsylvania.

Coach of the Year

FRANK YOUNG, NORTHERN

Fifth-year coach guided the Patriots to their first 4A/3A State Dual Meet final in four years, but they lost to Whitman to conclude a 15-2 dual meet season. His career record rose to 69-12. Northern finished second to La Plata at the Southern Maryland Athletic Conference tournament and 4A/3A South Region tournament before placing 16th at the 4A/3A state meet.

First Team

103: TIM REMO, WESTLAKE, SR.

SMAC and 4A/3A South Region champion finished 28-5.

112: DANE ORZECHOWSKI, LA PLATA, SOPH.

4A/3A finalist finished 35-3, which included SMAC and 4A/3A South Region titles.

119: COLIN LEADBETER, NORTHERN, SOPH.

Placed third at the 4A/3A tournament after winning the 4A/3A South Region and finishing second at SMAC tournament. Concluded season 36-3.

125: RYAN BUFF, CALVERT, JR.

All-Met capped undefeated season, 40-0, with the 2A/1A title after winning SMAC and South Region titles.
