Girls' All-Stars at Oakton

Oakton High School will be the site of two girls' basketball senior all-star games on Sunday. The first, at 2 p.m., will pit girls from the Concorde and National Districts against girls from Loudoun County. The second, at 4 p.m., will match girls from the Patriot and Liberty Districts against girls from Prince William and Stafford counties.

Among the girls who will play are Virginia Tech-bound Laura Haskins (West Springfield's leading scorer with 13.2 points per game), A.J. Lemaitre (W.T. Woodson's leading scorer with 16.2 ppg), University of Virginia-bound Abby Robertson (Lake Braddock's leading scorer with 17.0 ppg), Anna Steg (Marshall's leading scorer with 15.8 ppg), Nana Fobi-Agyeman (Hayfield's leading scorer with 11.5 ppg), MaryLynne Schaefer (Westfield's leading scorer with 16.5 ppg) and Erika Immel (Langley's leading scorer with 13.4 ppg).

Marshall's Anna Steg averaged 15.2 points a game last season.

Capital Classic Regional Game: The Northern Virginia representatives in the preliminary game of the Capital Classic are guard Ryan Scott (South Lakes), point guard Kenny James (Wakefield), forward Alex Irmer (Wakefield), guard Nick Olivero (W.T. Woodson), guard Matt Hale (Westfield) and forward Michael Freeman (Hayfield). Wakefield's Tony Bentley will coach the team.

The game is 6 p.m. April 22 at the Patriot Center.
