Montgomery County's expanding performing arts center has an expansive summer lineup, with two free concerts each week and the mid-August Comcast Filmfest. The musical performances on Wednesdays are tied to a music timeline developed by the Washington Area Music Association and cover Washington music and local musicians. The Thursday night "Summer Serenades" are classically based performances. Both start at 7:30. During the filmfest, movies begin at 8:30, with extensive food concessions (sales benefit NIH Children's Charities) opening at 6:30.
