Crape Myrtle (variety Muskogee)

• Botanic name: Lagerstroemia "Muskogee."

• Flowers: Light lavender, midsummer.

• Size: To 25 feet.

• Form: Tall, spreading.

• Needs: Full sunlight and well-drained soil. Shade will greatly diminish flowering.

• Comments: Smaller than another popular tree type called Natchez. Needs artful shaping to show off its stunning, smooth bark.
