Magnolia (variety Galaxy)

• Botanic name:Magnolia "Galaxy."

• Flowers: Red-purple, in April.

• Size: To 30 feet.

• Form: Upright with strong central trunk.

• Needs: Prefers moist, well-drained, acid soil.

• Comments: Blooms later than other magnolias, making it less prone to freeze damage. A little large for a small patio.
