Paperbark Maple

• Botanic name:Acer griseum.

• Flowers: Inconspicuous; tree is grown for its peeling, cinnamon-color bark.

• Size: To 25 feet.

• Form: Upright.

• Needs: Prefers moist but well-drained soil. Some afternoon shading will reduce leaf scorch.

• Comments: Grows slowly and takes at least five years for peeling ornament to become effective. Great winter tree.
