The digs: Poplar Springs Inn, Casanova, Va., 22 guest rooms, old stone house set on 200 acres outside Warrenton, Va., about 50 miles from Washington.

What you get: Two nights, with Champagne and sweets upon arrival. Breakfast in bed, five-course dinner and Sunday brunch. One spa treatment for each person.

The price: $1,200 per couple.

The twists: Full-service spa, bicycles for use, smokehouse on premises.

What you get: "Romance" package: Two nights in a junior suite, with fireplace and whirlpool; breakfast and one massage per person.

"Champagne Tasting" package: Two nights, breakfast, expert-guided champagne sampling, for the weekend of Feb. 11.

The price: "Romance" is $590; "Champagne" ranges from $495 to $795, depending on room and suite.
