Five of the worst teams among the 330 that play Division I men's basketball

Saturday, February 19, 2005; Page D05

1. Savannah State (0-28): Who didn't see this coming? The Tigers fired their coach, Ed Daniels, on Thursday after a winless season.

2. Longwood (1-27): The Lancers have lost 16 games in a row; they play at Wake Forest on Wednesday.

3. Army (3-20): The Black Knights are ranked No. 330 -- dead last -- in the RPI.

4. Penn State (7-17): Can a Big Ten program really be this bad for this long?

5. St. Bonaventure (2-21): Somehow, the Bonnies beat Rhode Island, another program Jim Harrick and his son left in ruins.
