Gasol is averaging 18.9 points and 8.2 rebounds in almost 34 minutes per game.

Memphis Coach Mike Fratello said Gasol could miss at least two weeks. Memphis activated Ryan Humphrey to take Gasol's place on the roster.

The Grizzlies activated G Mike Miller, who had been on the injured list since Jan. 14 with a concussion he suffered in practice. Miller is averaging 11.8 points and has connected on 43.9 percent of his three-point shots, eighth best in the NBA.

MCGRADY BACK: Rockets F Tracy McGrady rejoined the team for its trip to New Orleans, a day after missing a game against Orlando because of a family emergency. He is expected to play against the Hornets tonight. . . . Tim Thomas was placed on the injured list by the Knicks, who hope five or more games of rest will help cure the small forward's nagging calf injury. . . . George Karl met with Denver GM Kiki Vandeweghe about the Nuggets' vacant coaching position in Chicago, but the job has not been offered to the former NBA coach.
