• Purchase a $10 " Get More Europe" card from Radisson SAS Hotels & Resorts and receive one free night with a four-night stay in any of 140 hotels in 39 countries, free breakfasts, 25 percent off meals at hotel restaurants and 25 percent off a second room. BARGAIN OF THE WEEK

Fly to Johannesburg on South African Airways' new direct service from Washington Dulles for $807 round trip, plus $91 in taxes -- a savings of about $1,000. SEA

American West Steamboat Co. is discounting its Dec. 11 "Path of the Explorers" cruise on the Columbia River in the Pacific Northwest by 50 percent. • Save more than 50 percent off brochure rates on a luxury Crystal Cruises Alaskan cruise. The six-night May 9 and 16 sailings on the Crystal Harmony from Whittier, Alaska, to Vancouver start at $1,195 per person double; usual rates start at $2,685. Info: 866-446-6625, www.crystalcruises.com.

• Take a seven-night cruise on China's Yangtze River starting at $599 per person double on select sailings through August. AIR

• Buy a round-trip ticket on ATA and receive a free companion fare ticket to Hawaii. Qualifying ticket must be purchased by April 11 and travel completed by June 11; seven-day advance purchase required. Companion ticket, worth as much as $800, is valid for travel Aug. 31-Nov. 16 from Reagan National to Honolulu; holder of free ticket must travel on same itinerary as a paying passenger. Independence Air is offering a $249 pass that permits unlimited travel to any of its 41 destinations east of the Mississippi from May 1-Aug. 31. The "Glide Pass," available to college students ages 18 to 25, goes on sale at www.flyi.com Friday. Travel Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays; fees and taxes of up to about $20 each way are extra.

PACKAGES

• British Airways has a Mother's Day package for $529 per person double, plus $113 in taxes, that includes round-trip air from Dulles or BWI to London, three nights at the three-star Comfort Inn Kensington, a voucher for Harrods and afternoon tea. The lowest price is for travel through May 29, but the package is available at higher prices for travel through July 31 (book by June 3). Priced separately, air is about $553 and the hotel about $167 per night. Book at 877-428-2228.

• El Al is offering a " Fly & Drive" package to Israel for $759 per person single or double that includes round-trip air from JFK or Newark to Tel Aviv and a seven-day Avis rental with unlimited mileage. Seven-day advance purchase required; travel before June 15. Taxes and fees are about $210 extra. Priced separately, air costs at least $946 and the car about $166.
