The Kerry Watch Gets Easier

Once again, a patriotic American instantly knew the right thing to do Wednesday morning when he happened upon some interesting documents on a Connecticut Avenue sidewalk near Wyoming Avenue Northwest.
And now we know some things about the Kerry presidential campaign that many don't know, including his pre-convention schedule.
The schedule, printed June 28, is somewhat dated -- especially after the vice presidential pick earlier this week. But Sen. John F. Kerry (D-Mass.) is, as our schedule notes, doing a women's fundraising breakfast this morning. Next week, we'll find him in Massachusetts doing news interviews, a Boston fundraiser and something with Outdoor magazine. "Note: This requires outdoor activity," the schedule wisely points out.
Next Wednesday, the focus is to be on his convention speech preparation. Thursday will find him with the NAACP in Philadelphia and, maybe, greeting some trial lawyers. There's the American Federation of Teachers convention and then some "quiet time."
The next week looks fairly open, so far, with lots of speech preparation with a teleprompter. But by the end of the week, he'll be off to Michigan and Colorado, then on to Ohio, Florida and Norfolk. The convention schedule? "To Be Determined," though on July 27, he is to "satellite to the convention," the evening Teresa Heinz Kerry speaks.
Then there is a section called "Days of Note":
"August -- Need to decide on 2 Veterans related conventions to accept.
"August 6 -- 39th Anniversary of the Voting Rights Bill
"August 28 -- 41st Anniversary of the 'I have a Dream' Speech
"August 19 -- 9:00 am IAFF [International Association of Firefighters] Convention -- Boston . . .
"Sept/Oct -- One hour for Monday Night Football
"Sept/Oct -- Attend a football game [Surely an Ohio State home game?]
"Sept/Oct -- David Letterman Show
"September 6 -- [Brother] Cam Kerry's birthday
