Olga Moreira Harrison Real Estate Agent
Olga Moreira Harrison, 77, a former real estate agent who spent the past two years helping schoolchildren at Flint Hill Elementary School in Vienna learn Spanish, died June 6 at Inova Fairfax Hospital from head injuries sustained when she tripped and fell two days earlier at her home in Vienna.
From the mid-1980s to 1994, Mrs. Harrison was a real estate agent with Mr. Real Estate in Oakton.
She was born in Managua, Nicaragua, and came to the Washington area in the mid-1950s. She began working as an office manager at the Organization of American States in the 1950s and left the agency in 1959 after getting married and starting her family.
She loved to cook and was always ready to offer a wonderful meal to family, friends and visitors, family members said.
She was a lifelong member of the Four Seasons Tennis Club in Merrifield.
Her husband, R. Woodrow Harrison, whom she married in 1955, died in 1993.
Survivors include three children, Bill Harrison of Vienna, Charley Harrison of Orange, Calif., and Ann Harrison of Oakton; a stepson, Woody Harrison of Wilson, N.C.; a sister; and six grandchildren.
Emile Henry Rieu Retired Vice President
Emile Henry Rieu, 79, retired vice president of KR Systems Inc. in Crystal City, died July 4 of complications from surgery at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. He lived in Bowie.
From 1979 to 1996, Mr. Rieu was vice president of KR Systems and did defense contracting.
He was born in Monessen, Pa., and came to the Washington area 32 years ago.
Mr. Rieu received a bachelor's degree from the University of Pittsburgh and a master's degree in systems engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio.
During World War II, he served with the Air Force in the Pacific Theater. He rejoined in 1962 and was a systems engineer at postings throughout the Northeast. He retired in 1979 as a lieutenant colonel.
A son, Richard J. Rieu, died in 1994.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Antoinette Mary Rieu of Bowie; four sons, Dennis Rieu of Leominster, Mass., Emile H. Rieu Jr. of Annapolis, Timothy J. Rieu of West Friendship, and Edward M. Rieu of London; and six grandchildren.
