The Outback Steakhouse 8K Run and 2 Mile Fun Walk, a benefit for the Prince George's County Special Olympics, needs help with registration, course monitoring and water and food distribution, 7:30-11 a.m. Nov. 21. The Prince George's County Senior Health Insurance and Assistance Program needs people to provide telephone health insurance counseling for senior citizens and the disabled. The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission seeks adult puppeteers to design and perform 45-minute shows for children ages 5 to 12 who attend its after-school and Saturday youth programs in the southern part of the county. Hours are from 2:30 to 8 p.m. weekdays and from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays. Volunteers will drive a mobile unit and must undergo background checks and defensive-driving training.
