Top Point Guards
1. Chris Paul, 6-0, Wake Forest
Paul, above, averaged 14.8 points and was third in the ACC with 5.9 assists as a freshman, but he'll have to step up his game if the Demon Deacons are going to live up to their lofty billing.

2. Jarrett Jack, 6-3, Georgia Tech
He might not have the skills of Mark Price, Kenny Anderson or Stephon Marbury, but Jack has showed as much heart, leadership and courage as any of the great Tech point guards of the past.
3. Chris Thomas, 6-1, Notre Dame
The senior played much of last season with a throbbing left knee and still averaged 19.7 points, 4.2 rebounds and 4.7 assists.
Top Shooters
1. Gerry McNamara, 6-2, Syracuse
McNamara, left, nailed six three-pointers against Kansas in the NCAA championship game as a freshman, and then scored 43 points against Brigham Young in an NCAA game last season.
2. J.J. Redick, 6-4, Duke
There might not be a better pure shooter in the nation than Redick, who, at times, seems to get lost in the offense.
3. Travis Diener, 6-1, Marquette
First player to lead Conference USA in scoring (18.8) and assists (6.0), he made 45 percent of his three-point attempts.
Three Impact Transfers
1. Dennis Latimore, 6-8,
