Webcam Guide

Thursday, February 19, 2004;

Web cams give you live (or almost live) looks at places you might never visit in person. The people who run them just set up a camera somewhere -- at a zoo or national park, for example -- and broadcast those images over the Web. Here are some web cam sites that will get you started on your virtual travels.

AfriCam
Go on a virtual safari with AfriCam. Choose between 18 different web cams and see if you can spot a scrub hare, giraffe, elephant or leopard. Take a snapshot of your animal finds, see pictures from other visitors and vote for your favorites.
