• Southwest has special fares for active-duty U.S. military personnel. Fares, which start at $47 each way, are valid for travel any day and can be bought just one day ahead of travel. • The Motor City is on sale at Spirit Air. The carrier starts service between Reagan National and Detroit on June 17 and will offer an intro fare of $59 each way for travel through Nov. 17. • Pay for a full-fare coach ticket on Malaysia Airlines from Newark to any of its 108 destination cities through June 30 and get a free upgrade to a business-class seat. The full fare for a coach ticket to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for example, is $4,470 round trip, while the business-class fare is $6,170; buy a business seat and get upgraded to first class, which would cost $9,060. PACKAGES

• An 11-night "Exotic Asia" tour, including international and domestic airfares, lodging in five-star hotels, sightseeing trips and many meals is being offered by Ritz Tours for less than the price of the airfare alone. The tour -- which travels to Bangkok, Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai in Thailand, Singapore and Hong Kong -- starts at $1,899 per person double departing from New York on June 4, Aug. 20, Sept. 3 and 17, and Nov. 12 and 26.
