Team to Beat: Gwynn Park. The Yellow Jackets have six region titles and four state championship appearances in nine years. This year's bunch is just as talented as their predecessors, led by George Washington-bound forward Robert Diggs (15.4 ppg) and Coastal Carolina-bound forward Marcus White (6 ppg).
Watch Out for: Centennial. The Eagles are coming off their best regular season since finishing 16-0 in 1996 and have home-court advantage throughout the tournament. Centennial is undefeated at home this season, and has held opponents to just 45.2 points per game. "This team plays better defense than any team I've ever had," said Coach Jim Hill.
