To help victims of the tsunami in South Asia, a trio of jazz fusion artists -- guitarist Prasanna, bassist Mike Pope and drummer Brian Delaney -- will perform a benefit concert Friday at 8 p.m. at Walt Whitman High School in Bethesda, with proceeds going to Association for India's Development, Tamil Rehabilitation Organization and Doctors Without Borders. The concert is organized by Indian Institute of Technology Madras Alumni Association of North America. Admission is a suggested minimum contribution of $25 . . .
Members of the band Linkin Park have donated $100,000 to Music for Relief (www.musicforrelief.org), an organization they created to help support American Red Cross aid programs for victims of the tsunami. "If one of our fans can donate $10, then that's going to help," said guitarist Brad Delson. "We are going to appeal to our musical peers by asking them to donate as well" . . .

Country star Brad Paisley has pitched in money for a skate park in Wheeling, W.Va., after receiving a letter from a 15-year-old boy complaining about the lack of such places. The 20,000-square-foot facility would be the first free concrete skate park in West Virginia, according to organizers. Paisley is also holding a benefit concert in Wheeling on Jan. 15 for victims of September's flood in the Ohio Valley.
