ROBBERIES

EASTERN AVE., 900 block, 6:34 to 6:37 a.m. March 28. A gunman robbed a convenience store of cash.

FAIRVIEW AVE., 2000 block, 10:55 p.m. March 24. A gunman robbed a male pedestrian of cash and a cell phone.

KENILWORTH AVE., 1600 block, 8:20 p.m. March 30. Two females robbed a person at a bus stop of jewelry.

MARYLAND AVE., 1300 block, 3:45 to 3:59 a.m. March 31. A robbery occurred at a residence.

MONROE AND SOUTH DAKOTA AVENUES, 8:55 to 8:58 p.m. March 29. Two males robbed a male motorist at a service station of his vehicle and cash.

MONTELLO AVE., 1700 block, 10:30 p.m. March 25. A male with a knife robbed a male at a residence of cash, keys, a coat and a cell phone.

OWEN PL., 1100 block, 1 p.m. March 29. A gunman robbed a male pedestrian of cash.

VARNUM ST., 1100 block, 2:50 p.m. March 27. A gunman got out of a vehicle with three people and robbed a male of keys.

16TH ST. AND WEST VIRGINIA AVE., 11:48 p.m. March 25 to 12:26 a.m. March 26. Two gunmen robbed a female in a vehicle of a purse containing cash and bank cards.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BURNS ST., 1-99 block, 5:30 a.m. March 8 to 1 p.m. March 24. Vehicle keys were stolen from a residence by a male who entered through a rear window. He then fled in the vehicle.

CRITTENDEN ST., 1600 block, noon March 25. DVDs, keys and a video game console were stolen from a residence entered through a second-floor window.

DIVISION AVE., 800 block, 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 28. Credit cards were stolen from a residence entered by forcing a rear door.

LAWRENCE ST., 1400 block, 2 to 5:48 p.m. March 28. Laptop computers, DVDs, jewelry and video game consoles were stolen from a residence.

MADISON ST., 400 block, 8:40 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 28. Jewelry, a TV, a DVD player and a laptop computer were stolen from a residence entered by smashing a rear bathroom window.

NEAL ST., 1500 block, 11:50 a.m. to 6:50 p.m. March 25. Cash and jewelry were stolen from a residence entered by forcing a rear door.

OKLAHOMA AVE., 500 block, 5 p.m. March 28 to 11:30 p.m. March 29. A residence was entered.

13TH ST., 3300 block, 2 to 11:30 p.m. March 25. Medication was stolen from a vehicle entered by smashing a rear window with a rock.

18TH PL., 1200 block, 11 a.m. Feb. 12 to 8 p.m. March 23. A TV-VCR player, a TV-VCR-DVD player, a refrigerator and a rug were stolen from a residence entered by forcing a rear window.

20TH ST., 200 block, 2:20 a.m. March 26. A male entered a residence by kicking a front door.

Northwest

HOMICIDES

PENNSYLVANIA AVE., 1100 block, 3:30 a.m. March 27. Ranjit Singh, 20, of the 300 block of Mercer Street, Phillipsburg, N.J., was found in a building with stab wounds. He was taken to George Washington University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

UPSHUR ST., 1300 block, 8:15 a.m. Sept. 2. An 8-year-old boy was allegedly involved in a sexual assault at a school.

13TH ST., 4:45 p.m. Jan. 27. A sexual assault occurred in a home.

ROBBERIES

ADAMS ST., 1-99 block, 7:30 to 7:45 p.m. March 30. Two bikes and other property were taken from a home.

COLUMBIA RD., 1400 block, 9:04 p.m. March 25. Three male teenagers approached a deliveryman on the street, hit his face and took a pizza from his hand. One of the teenagers also took cash.

F ST., 2200 block, 9:55 p.m. March 31. A robbery occurred in a hotel or motel. No further information was provided by police.

FLORIDA AVE., 1400 block, 10:23 p.m. March 30. A robbery occurred on the sidewalk. No further information was provided by police.

H ST., 1000 block, 2 to 2:30 p.m. March 24. A man took a female's purse from the back of her chair in a hotel or motel and fled. A man, 44, was arrested a short time later.

MASSACHUSETTS AVE., 400 block, 8:15 p.m. March 28. A man followed a female into a mailroom in an apartment building and grabbed her face. He took a wallet from her purse and said, "I just want your money." When he tried to flee, he was confronted by another person and chased. No further information was provided by police.

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 1300 block, 8 p.m. March 31. A robbery occurred in a restaurant. No further information was provided by police.

PINEY BRANCH RD., 6500 block, 4:20 p.m. March 25. A man took property from a cash register at a supermarket when a clerk opened it.

SPRING RD., 1500 block, 9:35 p.m. March 26. A gunman robbed a pedestrian of a wallet, bank cards and credit cards.

SUMMIT PL., 1800 block, 8:35 p.m. March 28. A gunman robbed two pedestrians.

T ST., 900 block, 11:45 p.m. March 26 to 12:30 a.m. March 27. A man snatched a purse containing a wallet and a cell phone from a female pedestrian. He fled on a bicycle.

UPSHUR ST., 1500 block, 1 a.m. March 26. Two gunmen ordered a male to the ground in an alley and robbed him of keys, a cell phone, a bank card and a suitcase.

WATER ST., 3500 block, 11:45 to 11:55 a.m. March 27. A man hit a male on the head with a pipe as he entered a storage shed. The attacker dragged the male into the shed, threatened him with a knife and robbed him.

WOODLEY RD., 2600 block, 8:45 p.m. March 30. A robbery occurred in a parking area.

FIRST ST., 1100 block, 6 p.m. March 30. A robbery occurred on the sidewalk.

11TH AND EUCLID STREETS, 9 p.m. March 28 to 7 p.m. March 29. A man followed a female pedestrian from 11th and U Streets and shouted, saying, "Hey." The pedestrian was startled, and the man said, "I'm not thinking about you." He continued to follow her and eventually grabbed her and took a bank card.

14TH AND GIRARD STREETS, 12:07 a.m. March 25. A male, accompanied by two others, hit a male pedestrian with a gun and took cash.

14TH ST., 500 block, 2 to 2:30 p.m. March 25. A wallet was taken from a purse in a restaurant.

14TH ST., 4000 block, 7:56 p.m. March 25. Two male teenagers robbed a 24-year-old male pedestrian. One demanded cash at knifepoint and struggled with the pedestrian. The other teenager took property from the pedestrian's pocket.

17TH ST. AND KILBOURNE PL., 10:25 to 10:28 p.m. March 24. A man robbed two pedestrians at gunpoint. He took a wallet and a coat from a male and a purse from a female.

17TH ST. AND KALORAMA RD., 3:40 a.m. March 27. Two men got out of the back seat of a vehicle and asked a pedestrian for a cigarette. A wallet, a permit, a green card and a cell phone were taken. No further information was provided by police.

17TH ST., 3100 block, 9:41 p.m. March 28. A male teenager robbed a male at gunpoint on the front steps of a home. He took eyeglasses, a credit card, a permit, a cell phone and a raincoat.

18TH ST. AND ONTARIO RD., 10:30 a.m. March 31. A man robbed a pedestrian of a bag, a bank card and a cell phone.

19TH ST., 2000 block, 9:34 to 11:57 p.m. March 30. Three male teenagers were involved in a robbery on the sidewalk. No further information was provided by police.

20TH ST., 1400 block, 4:10 a.m. March 26. A male, accompanied by two other males, showed a gun to two pedestrians and forced them to lie down in an alley. One of the other males took a cell phone, a wallet and a credit card.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

CONNECTICUT AVE., 2800 block, 10:30 a.m. March 30 to 7:30 a.m. March 31. An MP3 player was taken from a home.

F ST., 2000 block, 7:57 to 8 a.m. March 26. A man entered an apartment and woke a resident by entering his bedroom. The burglar grabbed a wallet and ran to the apartment entrance. The resident caught the burglar and took back his wallet.

HOLLY ST., 1200 block, 8:10 p.m. March 29. A door was damaged in an attempt to enter a home.

K ST., 2000 block, 3:45 to 8:39 a.m. March 29. Property was taken from a pizza restaurant entered through a rear door.

MORTON ST., 700 block, 6:30 p.m. March 25 to 9 a.m. March 26. A man took tools, window and door locks and a pressure washer from a home.

MORTON ST., 700 block, 7:30 p.m. March 29 to 6:30 a.m. March 30. Drills and a saw were taken from a home.

NEWTON PL., 600 block, 12:51 a.m. March 26. Three males entered a home. One attacked a female occupant. Two other people tried to help the female. No further information was provided by police.

P ST., 200 block, 11:30 p.m. March 24. Seven faucets and two stereos were taken from a home entered by forcing a rear door.

PINEY BRANCH RD., 6800 block, 7:25 p.m. March 27. A man entered a home. A resident heard a noise and found the intruder in a room. The resident chased the man out the front door, where he dropped property and fled with another male.

R ST., 1800 block, noon March 22 to 11 p.m. March 28. A camera, a TV, a mountain bike and speakers were taken from a home entered by forcing a rear door.

RIGGS PL., 1700 block, 2 p.m. March 26 to 9:30 p.m. March 30. Jewelry was taken from a home.

WISCONSIN AVE., 2100 block, 3 to 8:43 a.m. March 30. A break-in occurred at a restaurant. No further information was provided by police.

WISCONSIN AVE., 3400 block, 7 p.m. March 25 to 9:50 a.m. March 26. A specialty store was entered by prying a lock on a front door. An alarm was disabled, and property was taken from a cash register.

SIXTH ST., 1500 block, 10 a.m. March 30 to 10:15 a.m. March 31. A break-in occurred at a home. No further information was provided by police.

NINTH ST., 1300 block, 5 p.m. March 25 to 9 a.m. March 26. Computers, monitors, drills and a battery charger were taken from an office building entered by removing plywood and drywall from a window area.

18TH ST., 2900 block, 8:15 to 9 p.m. March 25. A laptop computer and coins were taken from a home entered through a rear basement door.

21ST ST., 1600 block, 4:30 p.m. March 29 to 7 a.m. March 30. A radio, a tripod, a battery charger and other property were taken from a construction site.

38TH ST., 3400 block, 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. March 29. A laptop computer was taken from an apartment.

Southeast

HOMICIDES

T PL., 2200 block, 8:18 p.m. March 31. Shawn Salim, 19, of the 4000 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue SW, was found on a sidewalk with a gunshot wound to the head. He was taken to George Washington University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 8:50 p.m.

FOURTH ST., 4200 block, 1:55 a.m. March 25. An unidentified male was found on a sidewalk with gunshot wounds. He was taken to Howard University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 2:35 a.m.

25TH ST., 3400 block, 7:20 p.m. March 30. John Crockett, 28, of the 1500 block of Trinidad Avenue NE, was found on a sidewalk with gunshot wounds. He was taken to Prince George's Hospital Center, where he was pronounced dead.

41ST ST., 1500 block, 2:25 p.m. March 26. Charles Greene, 54, of the 4000 block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE, was found on a street with gunshot wounds. He was taken to Prince George's Hospital Center, where he was pronounced dead.

ROBBERIES

ALABAMA AVE., 2400 block, 3:40 a.m. March 26. A gunman and a male accomplice on bicycles robbed two pedestrians of cell phones.

B ST., 5000 block, 5:15 to 5:20 a.m. March 26. A gunman and two male accomplices assaulted a person entering a residence and took a bank card.

BENNING RD., 5000 block, 7:10 to 7:15 p.m. March 30. Two males robbed a person of cell phones.

GREEN ST., 2300 block, 9:10 p.m. March 23. A gunman and three male accomplices robbed a deliveryman of cash and food.

MELLON ST., 600 block, 7 a.m. March 26. A male snatched cash from the hand of a female in a residence.

O ST., 5:45 to 6 a.m. March 30. A robbery occurred on a sidewalk.

SAVANNAH ST., 2500 block, 3:40 p.m. March 29. A male assaulted a person in a residence and took jewelry.

SOUTHERN AVE., 3900 block, 9:38 to 9:42 p.m. March 25. Two gunmen in a vehicle robbed a person at a bus stop of a coat and wallet.

WHEELER AND BARNABY STREETS, 9 p.m. March 30. Three males robbed a pedestrian of shoes, a coat and a hat.

FIRST AND P STREETS, 10 p.m. March 24. A gunman assaulted a male pedestrian, robbed him of cash and fled with a male accomplice.

SIXTH AND SAVANNAH STREETS, 8 to 8:05 p.m. March 30. A robbery occurred on a sidewalk.

SIXTH ST., 3500 block, 8:30 p.m. March 25. A male robbed a male at a bus stop of cash.

SEVENTH ST., 4200 block, 6:20 p.m. March 31. A male robbed a person in a residence of shoes, a purse and a jacket.

13TH AND K STREETS, 8:45 p.m. March 29. A robbery occurred.

16TH AND V STREETS, 12:25 a.m. March 29. Two males robbed pedestrians of their jackets.

30TH ST., 1200 block, 3:50 p.m. March 27. A male demanded a jacket from a male working on his vehicle. The male refused and fled.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

ALABAMA AVE., 1900 block, 11:30 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. March 30. Jewelry was stolen from a residence.

BRANDYWINE ST., 700 block, 5:30 a.m. March 27. Two males and two females forced their way into a residence. A female intruder with a knife assaulted a resident.

C ST., 1400 block, 9 to 10 p.m. March 28. Property was stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked door.

DOUGLASS PL., 2600 block, 9 a.m. March 26 to 7 a.m. March 28. A TV-VCR unit, a TV and a VCR were stolen from a school entered by cutting a security cage from a window.

DOUGLASS PL., 2600 block, 4 p.m. March 29 to 8 a.m. March 30. TVs were stolen from a school.

HOWARD RD., 1400 block, 4 p.m. March 28 to 1 p.m. March 29. Cash was stolen from an apartment entered by forcing a front door.

KENTUCKY AVE., 300 block, 9:30 p.m. March 24. A male entered a home through the basement and forced open a kitchen door to enter other parts of the house. No further information was provided by police.

MISSISSIPPI AVE., 100 block, 9 p.m. March 23 to 1 p.m. March 25. A sander was stolen from a residence entered by kicking a basement door.

NEWCOMB ST., 400 block, 11:30 p.m. March 25 to 11:45 p.m. March 28. Property was stolen from a residence entered by breaking a window of a side door.

OAKWOOD ST., 200 block, 6 p.m. March 25 to 5 p.m. March 26. A washing machine was stolen from a residence entered through a rear door.

SAVANNAH TER., 2100 block, 5 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 31. A DVD player and a CD player were stolen from a residence.

STANTON RD., 2600 block, 1 to 9:30 p.m. March 29. Property was stolen from an apartment.

VALLEY AVE., 200 block, 11 to 11:15 a.m. March 26. A male entered an apartment by forcing a front door and assaulted a female resident.

17TH ST., 400 block, 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. March 29. A residence was entered.

19TH ST., 3500 block, 8:44 p.m. March 27. A male entered a residence by breaking a living room window and assaulted a female resident.

Southwest

ROBBERIES

M ST., 400 block, 10:30 a.m. March 27. A man asked someone for change for $100 in a parking area, then robbed the person at gunpoint.

NINTH AND D STREETS, 11:20 p.m. March 26. A male followed another male in a store and demanded his wallet. The male complied.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

HALF ST., 1800 block, 1:30 p.m. March 26 to 7 a.m. March 28. Property was taken. No further information was provided by police.

FIRST ST., 1300 block, 6 to 11:10 p.m. March 29. A man entered a home. No further information was provided by police.
