SEXUAL ASSAULTS

BERYL RD., 6300 block, 3 a.m. April 3. A 19-year-old woman awoke, hearing a noise at her window, and saw a man walking on the sidewalk. Five minutes later, the man attempted to open the window, then fled when she threw a pillow at the blinds.

BISMACH DR., 5600 block, 3:30 a.m. April 3. A man with a knife broke into an apartment and attempted to sexually assault a 57-year-old woman. The victim was treated at a hospital.

INDECENT EXPOSURE

SPRINGFIELD MALL, 6500 block, 4 p.m. March 31. A man told a woman that something was wrong with her car. The woman got into her car to investigate, then noticed he

was behind her, exposing himself. He fled on foot.

ASSAULTS

VISTA DR., 6000 block, midnight April 3. Several men assaulted a 31-year-old man in a parking lot with a sharp object. The men then fled on foot. The victim was treated at a hospital for cuts on his upper body.

ROBBERIES

BARRETT ROAD AND HALL COURT, 10 p.m. April 3. A pickup truck stopped in front of a vehicle in which a pizza deliveryman was sitting. Two men got out of the truck, and one opened a door of the deliveryman's vehicle and pointed a gun at him, demanding cash. The men took cash and fled in the pickup truck. No injuries were reported.

ARGYLE DR., 6000 block. A cab fare was not paid.

ARLINGTON BLVD., 7200 block. Gas was stolen from a service station.

ARLINGTON BLVD., 9000 block. Japanese maple trees were stolen from a business.

BEAUREGARD ST., 4800 block. Beer was stolen from a business.

COLUMBIA PIKE, 5700 block, April 3. Two males stole stereo equipment from a store. Police found suspects hiding in a vehicle. A 19-year-old male of no fixed address and a 17-year-old male (missing from a Richmond area group home) were charged with grand larceny.

LEE HWY., 7300 block, 11:30 p.m. March 31. A man punched a 28-year-old male pedestrian, then he and two other men robbed him of his wallet, cash and a cell phone. The three fled in a vehicle. The victim reportedly received minor injuries.

NORTH POINT VILLAGE CENTER, 1400 block, 11:45 a.m. April 6. A man passed a note to a bank teller demanding cash. The teller gave him cash, and he fled on foot.

BARON CAMERON AVE., 11800 block. Beer was stolen from a gas station.

CAMERON GLEN DR., 1800 block. Cash was stolen from a residence.

CENTREVILLE RD., 2100 block. Gas was stolen from a service station.

FOUNTAIN DR., 1700 block. A lockbox and a wallet were stolen from a residence.

LEESBURG PIKE, 10700 block. There were three incidents of gas being stolen from a service station.

LONGLEAF LANE, 12800 block, 8:40 p.m. April 4. A man heard a noise in his house after returning home. When he called out, a man fled through a back door carrying a stereo. With assistance from Loudoun County Sheriff's deputies, Fairfax County and Herndon K9 officers found a suspect. An 18-year-old Herndon man was charged with burglary and grand larceny. The stolen property was recovered.

TUTTLE AND ROLLING ROADS, 4 p.m. April 4. Three men approached a 16-year-old male as he walked home from school. One assaulted the youth, who was cut while defending himself. He reportedly did not need medical treatment.

ASSAULTS

FAIRFAX SQ., 9900 block, 6:58 p.m. March 30. Police were called about a fight in front of a residence. A 41-year-old Fairfax City man was charged with assault.

MAIN ST., 10500 block, 1:54 a.m. April 2. Four people got out of a vehicle and assaulted a male pedestrian, with whom they had argued at a restaurant. He was treated at a medical facility for cuts and scratches.

April 1. Several items were stolen from a residence.

ARLINGTON BLVD., 9400 block, April 1 to April 2. A stereo was stolen from a vehicle in front of a residence.

BEVAN DR., 3700 block, 8 to 11:05 a.m. March 30. An iPod was stolen from a student's unlocked locker at a middle school.

BOB CT., 4300 block, April 2 to April 4. Several items were stolen from a residence.

BURKE STATION RD., 4100 block, 9:30 a.m. to 6:20 p.m. April 1. Several items were stolen from a residence.

CAMPBELL DR., 3100 block, March 29 to March 30. A stereo was stolen from a vehicle at a towing business.

EGAN DR., 3900 block, 1 to 10 a.m. March 31. A stereo was stolen from a vehicle in front of a residence, and a battery cable was stolen from another vehicle.

LEE HWY., 10400 block, March 30 to March 31. A stereo was stolen from an auto dealership employee's vehicle. Another employee, an 18-year-old Burke man, was charged with grand larceny. The stereo was returned to the owner.

MAIN ST., 9600 block, 5:30 p.m. April 1. Merchandise was stolen from a store. A 22-year-old Fairfax woman was charged with grand larceny.

MAIN ST., 10300 block, March 31 to April 1. Cash was stolen from a charitable collection box inside a business.

MAIN ST., 10900 block, 5 a.m. April 3. A man did not pay a cab fare. A 35-year-old Fairfax City man was charged with defrauding a taxi driver.

ST. ANDREWS DR., 9700 block, March 31 to April 1. Items were stolen from a vehicle in front of a residence.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

FAIRCHESTER DR., 10800 block, 11 p.m. March 31. A white 1995 Ford Escort was stolen after it was left at a convenience store with its engine running. The vehicle was found April 5.

VANDALISM

FAIRFAX SQ., 3800 block, 1 to 10:10 a.m. March 31. A window of a vehicle in front of a residence was broken.

LEE HWY., 9500 block, April 2 to April 4. Two advertising signs in front of a business were damaged.

MAIN ST., 9400 block, 7 to 7:25 p.m. April 4. A male attempted to obtain food at a business without paying for it. When he was asked to leave, he kicked a door window, breaking it.

Falls Church

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BROAD ST. W., 1000 block, 3:30 p.m. April 3. A woman attempted to obtain drugs with fraudulent prescriptions. A 32-year-old Haymarket woman was charged with fraud and false pretenses.

BROAD ST. W., 1100 block, 3:15 p.m. March 31. A cell phone was stolen from the back seat of a vehicle in a parking lot.

COLUMBIA ST. W., 100 block, 10:29 a.m. March 31. Fuel injectors were stolen from an engine of a van.

FAIRFAX ST. E., 200 block, 6 p.m. April 1 to 6:28 p.m. April 2. A stereo was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

JAMES CT., 400 block, 6 p.m. March 30 to 7:03 p.m. April 1. Two bicycles were stolen from the back porch of a residence.

OAK ST. N., 100 block, 8 a.m. March 28 to 8:24 a.m. March 31. A generator was stolen from a trailer in a parking lot.

VIRGINIA AVE. N., 100 block, 11:26 a.m. April 3. A male with a knife confronted a male employee entering the front of a business and threatened him. The employee started to

back out the door, and the man ran past

him and out a back door. No injuries were reported.

WASHINGTON ST. S., 900 block, 11:30 a.m. April 2 to 9:27 a.m. April 3. An office was entered by punching a hole in the wall next to the office door. Several desks were ransacked. Nothing was reported missing.

VANDALISM

LINCOLN AVE., 800 block, 7:30 a.m. March 30 to 8:13 a.m. March 31. Two landscape lights were pulled up, and their wires were cut.

POPLAR DR., 600 block, 10 p.m. March 29 to 3:31 p.m. March 31. Two tires of a 2002 Cadillac Escalade were slashed.

BICKSLER DR., 1100 block, 3:49 p.m. March 28. A male juvenile assaulted two acquaintances, reportedly causing minor injuries. A 15-year-old Herndon male was charged with assault.

CAMPBELL WAY, 700 block, 1:39 p.m. April 1. Property was stolen from a vehicle entered by breaking a window.

CARLISLE DR., 400 block, 9:30 a.m. March 28. Two laptop computers were stolen from a business.

HERNDON PKWY., 500 block, 9:19 a.m. March 28. A person who quit working for a business allegedly did not return company property.

RAVEN TOWER CT., 2100 block, 6:30 a.m. March 29. A bicycle was stolen from a balcony.

SUNSET PARK DR., 200 block, 4:23 p.m. April 3. An alternator was stolen from a vehicle.

TAMARACK WAY, 700 block, 5:35 a.m. March 31. Four tires and wheels were stolen from a vehicle.

VANDALISM

ELDEN ST., 1200 block, 2:40 p.m. April 3. A vehicle in a parking lot was scratched.

FERNDALE AVE., 800 block, 5:33 p.m. March 30. A lock on an electrical box was broken.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

DRAKE ST. SW, 1100 block, 9 p.m. April 1 to 6:30 a.m. April 2. Air bags were stolen from a vehicle entered by breaking a window.

MALCOLM RD. NW, 500 block, 5 p.m. April 4. A tire and a rim were stolen from a carport of a residence.

MAPLE AVE. W., 100 block, 2:20 p.m. April 2. Police were called about a shoplifter at a grocery store. A 42-year-old Aldie woman was charged with petty larceny.

MAPLE AVE. W., 200 block, 8:05 p.m. April 4. Packages of Crest White Strips were stolen from a pharmacy.

SCOTT CIR. SW, 200 block, 9 p.m. April 1 to 6:30 a.m. April 2. Air bags were stolen from a vehicle entered by breaking a window.

WALKER ST. SW, 400 block, 9 p.m. April 1 to 6:30 a.m. April 2. Air bags were stolen from a vehicle entered by breaking a window.

VANDALISM

MARION CIR. SW, 200 block, 12:01 to 7 a.m. April 1. Tires of six vehicles at a residence were flattened.
