MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

STANFORD BLVD., 8800 block, 5 p.m. April 1. A 2005 Ford four-wheel-drive truck was stolen.

SUNNY SPRING, 6200 block, 7:01 a.m. April 3. A green Nissan Maxima was stolen.

Elkridge Area

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

DEEP RUN PKWY., 6600 block, 4:07 a.m. April 3. Video games were stolen from a residence entered by breaking a window.

GREEN FIELD CT., 6300 block, 1:12 a.m. April 6. A purse was stolen from a residence. A sliding glass back door was found ajar and fresh footprints were found on a carpet.

MERLE WAY, 6300 block, 10:30 p.m. March 30 to 4:45 a.m. April 1. A purse containing cash, credit cards and checks was stolen from a residence. A screen door was found open at the residence.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

RAILROAD AVE., 5600 block, 8:34 p.m. April 5. A bronze 1997 Toyota Corolla was stolen.

Ellicott City Area

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

RALEIGH TAVERN LANE, 10200 block, 12:02 p.m. April 5. A person attempted to enter a residence by forcing a rear window and was seen fleeing the residence.

ROUTE 40, 10100 block, 4:34 a.m. April 4. An attempt was made to enter a convenience store by smashing front doors.

Highland Area

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

MINK HOLLOW RD., 6900 block, 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. April 4. A residential garage was entered by forcing a back-door lock. Nothing was reported stolen.

Jessup Area

ROBBERIES

PATUXENT RANGE RD., 8200 block, 5:14 p.m. March 31. A man armed with a semi-automatic handgun entered a business, locked several employees in a room and took cash. The employees sent an alarm to police from the locked room.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

DARKWOOD CT., 8300 block, March 24 to March 28. A mountain bike was stolen from a shed entered by forcing a padlock.

ROUTE 1, 7900 block, 2:04 a.m. April 4. Scratch-off lottery tickets and three cartons of cigarettes were stolen from a business entered by smashing a front door.

VOLLMERHAUSEN RD., 9100 block, 10 a.m. March 29 to 8:15 a.m. March 30. Two computer speakers and a VCR were removed from a portable classroom entered by throwing a rock through a window. The items were recovered outside a classroom window.

WASHINGTON BLVD., 8600 block, 5:03 a.m. April 3. Cash was stolen from a register at a restaurant entered by smashing a front door.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

PATUXENT RANGE RD., 8200 block, 11:15 a.m. April 4. A yellow 2001 International 4900 series truck was stolen.

Laurel Area

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

MOUNTAIN LAUREL WAY, 9700 block, noon to 9 p.m. An attempt was made to enter a residence.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

STEBBING WAY, 9100 block, 11:30 p.m. March 31 to 8 a.m. April 1. An attempt was made to steal a blue 1995 Ford Ranger pickup truck.

Mount Airy Area

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

HARDY RD., 16800 block, 6 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. April 1. Coins, two baskets, three bottles of prescription medication and cigarettes were stolen from two rooms at a residence entered by breaking a window.

West Friendship Area

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

FREDERICK RD., 12700 block, 3:17 a.m. April 6. A front door of a convenience store was shattered and an ATM was dragged through it, loaded on vehicle and taken from the area. A stolen pickup truck was recovered at the business.
