A nonprofit educational and cultural arts organization, it was created to promote an understanding and appreciation of the arts through public programs for the diverse people and cultures of the world. The organization also hosts the May Arts Expo at Savage Mill, which includes visual artists, craftspeople, dancers, storytellers, blues and jazz musicians and an American Indian powwow. This year's event will take place 11 a.m.-6 p.m. May 15.
