Alexandria Arlington Crime Watch

The following incidents were recently reported by the Alexandria Police Department. For more information, call 703-838-4636.

CARJACKINGS

ALFRED ST. N., 100 block, 9:15 p.m. April 7. A man accosted a male, 20, and a female, 17, outside a restaurant, implied he was armed with a weapon and forced them into their vehicle. The vehicle was driven to Breezewood, Pa., where the male victim entered a gas station convenience store and told a clerk to call police. Soon after, the robber and the female entered the store, and a struggle ensued between the robber and the male victim until police arrived. A male, 23, was arrested by Pennsylvania police and charged with assault. The victims traveled back to Alexandria and reported the incident to local police the following night. The case was under investigation.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

LEE ST. N., 100 block, 6 p.m. April 6 to 6:45 a.m. April 7. Tools were stolen from a business.

PENDLETON ST., 400 block, 3 p.m. April 9 to 5:54 p.m. April 10. A residence under construction was entered by forcing a door. Nothing was reported missing.

WYTHE ST., 1200 block, noon April 3 to 8:30 a.m. April 8. Kitchen items and clothing were stolen from a residence entered by forcing a door.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

ASCOT CT., 5500 block, 6:15 p.m. April 6 to 6:45 a.m. April 7. A silver 2003 Toyota Corolla was stolen.

DUKE ST., 5300 block, 7 p.m. April 7 to 9 a.m. April 9. A blue 2002 Yamaha motorcycle was stolen.

MAYFLOWER CT., 5900 block, 5 p.m. April 11 to 6:15 a.m. April 12. A tan 1994 Mazda was stolen.

VAN DORN ST. S., 400 block, 11:45 p.m. April 7 to 1:30 p.m. April 8. A gray 1996 Plymouth Voyager van was stolen.

ASSAULTS

COLUMBUS ST. N., 2500 block, 2:01 a.m. April 10. Two men accosted two male pedestrians, and one pedestrian was knocked unconscious.

ROBBERIES

COLUMBIA PIKE, 4600 block, 2:19 a.m. April 11. Four men accosted two male pedestrians and robbed them of cash. One pedestrian was struck on the head.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

RANDOLPH ST. N., 1000 block, 6 p.m. April 6 to 11:03 p.m. April 10. Jewelry was stolen from a residence.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

JOYCE ST. S., 1300 block. A black 1995 Mitsubishi Galant was stolen.

WAKEFIELD ST. S., 800 block. A black 1999 Honda Accord was stolen.
