Driving Hot Spots
Here is a selection of road advisories. Weather and equipment availability can affect timing.
1. Springfield interchange:
Two or more lanes might be closed 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 9 a.m. to noon Fridays.
2. Burke Lake Road:
Road closed through Sept. 5 between Windward and Wilmington drives.
3. Chain Bridge:
Right lane closed overnight from Virginia to the District.
4. Capital Beltway (inner loop):
Two right lanes closed 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. daily between River Road and Wisconsin Avenue.
5. Capital Beltway (inner loop):
Two left lanes closed 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily from Georgia Avenue to Connecticut Avenue.
6. Capital Beltway (both loops):
Some lanes closed 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily between the Interstate 270 spur and Fernwood Road.
7. Veirs Mill Road:
