• Four Virginia ski resorts are offering a $299 season pass good for unlimited midweek skiing. The pass can be used from Sundays at 12:30 p.m. through Friday evenings at Bryce, the Homestead, Massanutten and Wintergreen. Passholders also get $10 discounts on full-day weekend lift tickets. Thunderbird Lodge in Arizona's Canyon de Chelly National Monument has discounted rates through March 31. The winter deal is $65 for a double room (summer rate is $101). Taxes are 14 percent more. More than 150 restaurants in New York City are offering three-course lunches for $20.12 and dinners for $35 during the annual "Winter Restaurant Week" on Jan. 24-28 and Jan. 31-Feb. 4. • Unique World Cruises is discounting two departures of its Ukraine and Black Sea cruises by 50 percent. The May 6-19 and Sept. 6-19 sailings of the Dnieper Princess from Kiev start at $1,398 per person double after the discount, including air from New York, transfers and shore excursions. Mediterranean spring cruise fares are being reduced by up to 50 percent by the luxury line Silversea. The sale applies to select April, May and June sailings on the Silver Whisper and the Silver Cloud. Upgrade your cabin for free with Holland America's " View & Verandah Sale." Buy an inside cabin and get an outside cabin, or purchase an outside cabin and receive a veranda cabin. For example, a veranda stateroom on the 10-day Baltic cruise departing July 30 on the Westerdam is $2,499 per person double, down from $3,069. Taxes are an extra $85. Book by Feb. 28. Independence Air has a systemwide fare sale good for travel Jan. 11-June 6. For example, fly from Washington to Pittsburgh for $49 each way; round-trip fare with taxes is $116. Book by Jan. 13; seven-day purchase required. Lowest fares are available at www.flyi.com; fares purchased through 800-FLY-FLYI are $5 higher. United and US Airways are matching in select markets.

• Fly to destinations throughout the Caribbean with a deal from US Airways. For example, the round-trip fare from BWI to St. Thomas is $357; fare on other airlines is at least $460. Buy by Jan. 10; travel by Feb. 24. Three-day advance purchase required. Info: 800-428-4322, www.usairways.com.

Northwest Airlines is offering sale fares to destinations in the United States, Europe and Asia. For example, fly round trip from Washington Dulles to Lansing, Mich., for $138; fare on other airlines is $181. Purchase by Jan. 10 at www.nwa.com; tickets purchased by phone (800-225-2525) are $5 more. Complete U.S. and Canada travel by Feb. 17; trans-Atlantic travel by March 13; and trans-Pacific travel by March 20.


• Book a package for two to London on Virgin Atlantic and get several two-for-one extras, including theater tickets, "Jack the Ripper & Thames Terror Cruise," three-day London Central Zone TravelCard and lunch in Convent Garden. For example, a three-night vacation starts at $553 per person double, including air from D.C., lodging and the goodies (worth about $135). Book by today; travel through March 25. • Spend five nights in Buenos Aires for $699 per person double plus taxes. Taxes and fees are an extra $167 per person. Priced separately, deal would cost $100 to $400 more per couple, depending on travel dates.
