• IVERSON FINED: 76ers G Allen Iverson was fined $10,000 by the NBA for a heated exchange with an official after a loss to the Bulls on Saturday.

Iverson, upset about calls, challenged referee Marc Davis after the 94-88 defeat. Iverson had to be restrained by teammates, and a few minutes later was seen heading in the direction of the referees' dressing room before GM Billy King interceded and calmed him down.

"From the history of it, I suspect something will happen to me," Iverson said Monday. "I would not be surprised if they decide I was wrong and should be punished."

• LAETTNER SIDELINED AGAIN: The Heat placed F Christian Laettner on the injured list with a right foot injury and activated C Wang Zhizhi.

Laettner is having his second bout with plantar fasciitis -- an inflammation along the arch of the foot. He spent nine games on the injured list earlier this season with the ailment in his left foot.
